Identify Your CollectA is the sister site to Identify Your Breyer, covering the new CollectA "Corral Pals" now being sold by Breyer as well as the releases sold by CollectA directly. These models are made of vinyl, unlike Breyer's cellulose acetate, and are aimed at a low price point market. Many of the sculptures are quite nice, and these models are more and more the focus of model animal collectors.

Brand New for 2023!!

What are CollectAs, anyway? CollectA models are vinyl, hand-painted models with a high degree of accuracy in both conformation and color. They are both affordable and almost impossible to break and have been around since 2006. Sizes of CollectA models vary from small (averaging approximately 3 inches tall) to the Deluxe (1:12 scale, averaging approximately 7-9 inches tall.) They are sold loose on shelves or in display boxes, not unlike the popular Schleich models. The average model horse is roughly the size of Breyer's Paddock Pals series, with the Deluxe models roughly Classic series in size.

The CollectA company, based in Hong Kong, is one of the world's largest manufacturers of collectible model animals, currently offering 560 different animal models. The company is most well-known for their extensive line of prehistoric animals and, with the addition of molds sculpted by famous equestrian artist Deborah McDermott, interest in their Horse Life line has been growing steadily. CollectA's parent company is Procon Asia, and you may see "Procon" on earlier hang tags.

Who is Brachio? Brachio is the company Mascot who was a favourite with the late Anthony Beeson who was in charge of the prehistoric line up. Brachio will be supporting CollectA in any way he can and has been introduced in 2023.

What are Corral Pals? Did Breyer buy CollectA? Breyer didn't buy CollectA but in 2017 did purchase exclusive North American distribution rights to sell the Horse, Farm Life, and Dogs and Cats lines under the "Corral Pals" name. These models are referred to as "Breyer by CollectA." CollectA is still very much in business and will continue selling their current line, including the "Corral Pals" models (these last outside of North America). Breyer may add additional lines, including Dinosaurs, Sea Life, Wildlife, and Jungle, in the near future. As more information is released I'll update these pages.

So what's this website about? Identify Your CollectA is a reference site created by a collector for other collectors. Here you will find a complete list all of CollectA models, current and discontinued, to help you find out what you have and what you want. It also contains copies of CollectA and Breyer's Corral Pals catalogs and other paper ephemera. My hope is that this site will become a catalog of in-hand photos of every CollectA model released. Can I do it? That's up to YOU! If you have clear color photos of your CollectA models, why not share them here? You are welcome to watermark your photos first or I will do so for you when they are published. For more information on submitting photos please see the "Help Wanted" section below.

You are welcome to copy and save the information and photos found here for your personal use. This means that you can use what you find here to create your own inventory and want lists and save those lists to your personal computer. You may also copy and print information found here for use in documenting your model horse show entries and use site material as part of your forum post, blog, or hobby article. Stock photos (those with a plain white or tan background and no copyright watermark on them) may be copied and used however you like. Giving source credit when you use material you've found here is greatly appreciated.

What you can never do is use material found here for personal or commercial gain. Some people try to use photos found on this site as their own, most frequently on auction websites like eBay. This is not allowed, and is wrong not only because you're using someone else's work without permission, but also, in the case of sales sites, because you are deceiving your potential buyers by showing them a picture of something other than what they're actually bidding on. As should be obvious, you also may not use Identify Your CollectA copyrighted photos and text to create your own identification website, app, or online game. If you have questions about any of this this please contact me.

Model Animal Values: I can't give you an estimate of the value of your model or your model animal collection, but there are many resources out there that can help you determine its worth. Bear in mind that a model's value is simply what someone else is willing to pay for it, no matter what the price guide or sales list tells you one is going for! A great deal depends on the condition of the model being sold, as well as on the popularity of that particular model and its rarity. Your best bet to find current values is to look at what the same model in a similar condition is selling for on an online site like eBay or Model Horse $ales Pages. The majority of CollectA models are still in production, keeping the prices for these models relatively low.

Help Wanted! I need your photos to fill in gaps in this catalog and to replace CollectA's stock photos. Photos must have been taken or be owned by you--I can't accept photos off of eBay or other sources without permission from the owner. Submitted photos should be in focus, offer a full side view, and contain no tack (including halters) unless the tack came with the model. The best photos will have a plain background rather than a natural or stable scene. Images should be at least 800 pixels wide. Be sure to include the model number and/or model name, if you know it--that will save me a lot of time! Photos should be emailed to me at All published photos not watermarked by their owner are marked "© Identify Your CollectA" when published here to protect against theft.

I also need CollectA catalogs, price lists, collector's manuals and any other paper ephemera you might have. You can scan these pages and email them to me or I'd be happy to pay shipping if you'll trust them to me on loan. If you have a sales list of this material I'd like to see that too, although my budget for such things is pretty small.
